A life of Illusions

In this age where immorality has become fashionable especially among young people who day by day are succumbing to life’s illusions, we are even faced with a greater need for behavioral change- education within this age group.

In the ongoing behavior change campaign, LHM-Uganda reached out to the youth in Mpigi district where free counseling and guidance were offered aimed at enabling secondary school students make informed decision as they positively respond to growth and change.

Five schools were reached out to and these included Kibuuka Memorial Secondary School, St. Johns S.S, Kyasanku Hill College, Kisugu Secondary school and Mpigi Modern S.S.S. Over 1245 youngsters were reached out to and 448 responded to the program where we preached the love of Christ and the message of the saving grace that we packaged in our deliberations.

Interacting with these young people we were enlightened more about the dilemma teenagers in secondary schools face with the illusion of sexual immorality disguised in the so-called trending lifestyles. Many young people have been fooled to believe sex-abstinence is impossible and as a result teenagers have resorted to all kinds of immoral perverseness.

With the help of these sessions we hope to keep preaching Christ to these young people capturing their attention in a way they least expect. And like Paul we hope to keep speaking and not to be silent as we allow the Holy Spirit to convict these young souls of sin.
